Scholarships

CCBCM’s Scholarship program has awarded $648,774 dollars in scholarships to (704) deserving young men and women pursuing their collegiate dreams and aspirations. Our scholarship program is an investment in the future of the community. We challenge our young adults to continue their education and earn their college degree so one day they too will help make a difference in the community.

Starting in 2009 the CCBCM awarded the annual Paul D. Merritt memorial scholarship. Paul joined the CCBCM in 1996. He served for many years as a member of the SHARES Ministry, Outreach Ministry and Scholarship Committee. He was elected as president in 2002 and served in that capacity until he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2006. Paul will long be remembered for his generosity and hospitality. His work goes on in the effort this organization commits to the various ministries he helped established. 2005 Scholarship Recipients
